Composition

The Balsam & Cedar fragrance opens with fresh citrus, herbs and red berries. The heart develops fir balsam, cedar and sandalwood, while the base consists of vanilla, warm amber and musk.

Christmas Cookie is built around a creamy vanilla pod. This is followed by nutmeg, cinnamon and sugar, complemented by a base of vanilla, butter and baked goods notes.

Sparkling Cinnamon opens with a cinnamon stick, continues with clove and cardamom, and closes with bay leaf and cedarwood.

About the Brand

The Yankee Candle brand was founded at Christmas 1969, when sixteen-year-old Mike Kittredge made a candle as a gift for his mother. He then designed and hand-crafted candles in the family kitchen before later opening a small shop. The first Yankee Candle scented candles in apothecary jars were introduced in 1974. In 2016, the brand opened its first production facility outside the USA, in the Czech Republic.

The brand's history dates back to a hand-crafted Christmas gift from 1969.
