From one pair of colourful sneakers to more than 12,000 products
Ferwer was founded in 2014 on a simple idea: we want to offer people products that look good, work well, and are made with greater respect for people, animals and nature.
We started with colourful Inkkas sneakers, made according to Fair Trade principles from traditional fabrics sourced from local producers in Peru. Other brands such as Perky, Ecoalf and SKFK gradually joined, and what was originally a small sustainable fashion shop grew into the Ferwer you know today.
In 2022 we expanded our range to include eco-friendly household products and natural cosmetics. We have come a long way since then. Today we are a Czech e-shop based in Prague, offering more than 12,000 products for body care, beauty, the household and everyday life.
With us you will find natural and organic cosmetics, eco-friendly household products, hair and body care, products for children, healthy food, sustainable fashion and footwear, as well as thousands of original perfumes from well-known international brands. We keep expanding our range because we want you to be able to conveniently take care of as much of your shopping as possible in one place.
The green leaf: the Ferwer guarantee
As our range grows, it is increasingly important to us that you can navigate it easily. Not every product in our assortment is natural, and we don’t want to pretend otherwise.
That is why selected products are marked with the Ferwer green leaf.
The green leaf is not just an image or a manufacturer’s marketing label. It is our own guarantee that we have verified the product and its declared ingredients, and that it meets the rules that have been important to Ferwer from the very beginning.
For products with the green leaf, Ferwer guarantees that they are free of unnecessary and problematic chemicals and are not tested on animals.
So you don’t have to study every label, look up the meaning of individual ingredients or rely on vague “green” claims. When you see the green leaf on a product, you know at first glance that we stand behind its selection.
We are growing, but our original values remain
Expanding our range does not mean giving up the ideas Ferwer was founded on. Quite the opposite.
We want to combine the wide selection, good prices and speed of a large online store with the personal approach and trust you know from smaller specialist shops. We don’t want to dictate what you should buy. We want to give you the widest possible choice while clearly highlighting the products whose ingredients and values we can vouch for.
Our goal is for the better choice not to be complicated, expensive or hard to reach.
A Czech Ferwer for the whole of Europe
Ferwer is a Czech company based in Prague, but today we serve customers all over Europe. Our store runs in 15 language versions and we ship orders across the entire European Union.
Behind every order there are still real people – our team, which selects new brands and products, checks the assortment, prepares orders and helps customers with their questions.
We care not only about what we sell but also about how products travel to our customers. We pack orders using recycled paper, we try to choose more environmentally friendly shipping options, and we have long supported tree planting through the organisation Trees.org.
