About the Brand

The history of Yankee Candle began at Christmas 1969, when sixteen-year-old Mike Kittredge made a candle from melted crayons as a gift for his mother. The brand's first scented candles in apothecary jars came to market in 1974. In 2016, the brand opened its first manufacturing plant outside the USA in the Czech Republic, and launched the Signature collection in 2021.
