About the Brand

The origins of Yankee Candle date back to Christmas 1969, when sixteen-year-old Mike Kittredge made a candle from melted crayons as a gift for his mother. The brand's first scented candles in apothecary jars were introduced in 1974.

The Christmas Cookie fragrance was created in 1998 and the Signature collection was introduced in 2021. The first Yankee Candle production facility outside the USA was opened in the Czech Republic in 2016.
