About the Brand

Yankee Candle was founded in 1969. Its founder was Mike Kittredge, who at the age of sixteen created his first candle as a gift for his mother. The brand entered the home fragrance segment with its first plug-in diffusers in 2004.

In 2016, it opened its first manufacturing facility outside the USA, in the Czech Republic. Yankee Candle fragrances are created by perfumers and subsequently evaluated and thoroughly tested by a team of fragrance experts.
