About the Brand

MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO was founded by Issey Miyake in April 1970. In November 1971, ISSEY MIYAKE INTERNATIONAL INC. was established, today known as ISSEY MIYAKE INC. The first ISSEY MIYAKE store abroad was opened in Paris in 1975. The brand's first fragrance, L'Eau d'Issey, followed in March 1992 as a collaboration between MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO and the French company BPI.
