About the Brand

Miyake Design Studio was founded by Issey Miyake on 11 April 1970 as a workplace for research, planning, and creation of socially conscious and universal clothing. The brand's first fragrance, L'Eau d'Issey, was launched in 1992 in collaboration between the studio and the French company BPI.

The Issey Miyake Parfums collection was created in France together with Beauté Prestige International, part of Shiseido EMEA. Miyake Design Studio oversees the creative direction of the fragrances from the initial concept through the bottle, name, and graphics to the packaging and promotion.
