About the Brand

LEGO Group was founded by Ole Kirk Kristiansen in 1932. The name LEGO was created by combining the Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". The current form of the brick with its tube interlocking system was introduced in 1958. The private company is headquartered in Billund, Denmark, and remains owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family.

The set thus continues the history of the family-owned LEGO Group dating back to 1932.
