About the Brand

The LEGO Group was founded by Ole Kirk Kristiansen in 1932. The name LEGO was created by combining the Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well". The privately held company is based in Billund, Denmark, and continues to be owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family. The current form of the LEGO brick with inner tubes was introduced in 1958.

You are getting a set from a family-owned Danish brand that introduced the current form of the brick as far back as 1958.
