About the Brand

The LEGO Group was founded by Ole Kirk Kristiansen in 1932. The privately held company is headquartered in Billund, Denmark, and remains owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family. The name LEGO was created by combining the Danish words "leg godt", meaning "play well", and the current form of the LEGO brick was introduced in 1958.

Behind the set is a family-owned Danish company whose iconic brick design dates back to 1958.
