About the Brand

Monsieur Rabanne presented his first fashion collection in 1966. The show took place on 1 February at the Hotel George V in Paris and featured lamelles and discs made from modern materials linked together with metal rings. The Paco Rabanne fragrance division was established in France in 1968, and the brand's first fragrance, the women's Calandre, was launched in 1969. In 1987, Puig acquired the entire Paco Rabanne business, including fashion and accessories. The fashion and fragrance house later simplified its name to Rabanne.
