About the Brand

The fashion house Jean Patou was founded in Paris in 1914 by Jean-Alexandre Patou, known as Jean Patou, who championed the liberation of the female silhouette, designed dresses without corsets and shortened skirts.

The brand was among the pioneers of women's sportswear, with tennis player Suzanne Lenglen as its muse. Jean Patou also created a perfume bar in his Paris boutique, where he offered fragrances blended on the spot. In 2018, the brand was acquired by the LVMH group. Jean Patou fragrances are no longer in production.
