About the Brand

French designer Jean Patou founded the eponymous fashion house in 1914. He championed more relaxed women's clothing, including corset-free dresses and shorter skirts, and the brand was among the pioneers of sportswear designed for city wear as well. He used a monogram of the initials JP on his garments. In 2018, Jean Patou was acquired by the LVMH group and the fashion house was subsequently renamed Patou.
