Chanel Pour Monsieur eau de parfum for men represents a more intense interpretation of the original Pour Monsieur fragrance. It is intended for an elegant, charismatic and witty man.

Scent and composition

The citrus part of the composition is represented by Sicilian lemon, with lavender also listed among the noted fragrance ingredients. The spicy heart contains a nutmeg note, while vetiver creates the woody trail. The whole is complemented by vanilla, the origin of which Chanel states as Madagascar.

The current INCI lists bergamot peel oil and oakmoss extract Evernia prunastri. The original Pour Monsieur was created in 1955 as an eau de toilette; this Eau de Parfum brings a more intense interpretation of it.

About the brand

Gabrielle Chanel opened the Chanel Modes millinery boutique on rue Cambon in Paris in 1910. The first Chanel couture house followed in 1915 in Biarritz, France.

The brand's first fragrance, N°5, was launched in 1921 and was created in collaboration between Gabrielle Chanel and perfumer Ernest Beaux. In 1924, the Société des Parfums CHANEL was founded for the purpose of manufacturing and selling perfumes and cosmetics. The original Pour Monsieur from 1955 became Chanel's first men's fragrance.
