About the Brand

Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel opened the Chanel Modes millinery boutique on Rue Cambon in Paris in 1910. The first Chanel couture house followed in 1915 in Biarritz, France. In 1921, the brand launched the N°5 perfume, created in collaboration between Gabrielle Chanel and perfumer Ernest Beaux. Société des Parfums CHANEL was founded in 1924 for the production and sale of fragrances and cosmetics.
