About the brand

The history of Yankee Candle began at Christmas in 1969. Founder Mike Kittredge made his first candle at the age of 16 as a gift for his mother, using melted wax crayons. According to the brand, most of their candles are made by skilled chandlers in Massachusetts.

The set continues the brand's history, as its very first candle was created as a personal Christmas gift.
