Eight & Bob is a niche perfume house created as a tribute to the legacy of Albert Fouquet, the son of a Parisian aristocrat and perfume connoisseur. Fouquet prepared his own essences with the help of the family butler, Philippe.

The story behind the name dates back to the summer of 1937, when Albert Fouquet met John F. Kennedy on the French Riviera. The name Eight & Bob derives from Kennedy's request for eight samples of the fragrance and possibly one more for Bob.

The brand states that the original formula and its production process were revived after decades. Its approach involves working with small volumes, maceration and ageing fragrances in the dark.
