One winter night in 1936, everything changed for Albert Fouquet. He was traveling to Megeve, a place where the European aristocracy gathered. Albert was a fine French gentleman, a passionate traveler and a creator of wonderful perfumes, but only for his own use. These perfumes gradually became the object of interest to many of his friends in the highest circles of French society.
One magical night in Megeve turned Albert’s life upside down. He met Annicke, an Austrian girl, the daughter of a banker who was also a Hungarian nobleman. Her extraordinary beauty, elegance and personality completely enchanted Albert. She was the most amazing woman he had ever met…
The perfume that Albert Fouquet then created carried within it all those words full of love and desire that he and Annicke exchanged in their letters over the following months. The fragrance contained everything that Annicke meant to him. When they met again in Vienna months later, Albert surprised Annicke with a beautiful fragrance. She was charmed. From then on, every one of their meetings was an opportunity to conjure up a new perfumery jewel. This laid the foundation for today’s Annicke collection.
