4711 Acqua Colonia Midnight Sandal is a woody-spicy eau de parfum designed for both women and men. The composition, inspired by India and the atmosphere of subtropical nights, combines spices, floral elements, woody notes and amber.

Fragrance and Composition

• The top notes feature Madagascar ginger extract, bergamot and coriander seed oil.
• The heart is composed of Indian jasmine sambac absolute, cardamom and heliotrope.
• The base unfolds with New Caledonian sandalwood, amber and vetiver oil.
• The fragrance composition was created by Mirella Pomina.
• The eau de parfum belongs to the Acqua Colonia Collection Absolue line.
• The sandalwood oil used is obtained by steam distillation of finely grated wood shavings.
• The sandalwood is sourced from cultivation in New Caledonia, which according to the manufacturer respects nature and does not harm local biodiversity.

About the Brand

The origins of the 4711 brand date back to 1792, when Wilhelm Mülhens acquired the recipe for Aqua Mirabilis. The number 4711 derives from the house number on Glockengasse street in Cologne, assigned to the building by French occupiers in 1794.

The 4711 designation was registered as a trademark in 1875. The brand originates from Cologne and its products are sold in more than 65 countries. Acqua Colonia was launched in 2009 as a sub-brand of 4711.

Midnight Sandal thus continues the Acqua Colonia line as well as the history of the 4711 brand dating back to 1792.
