About the Brand

Myrurgia was founded in Barcelona in 1916 as a family business by Esteva Monegal i Prat. The historic factory produced perfumes and soaps, and its building is an example of Catalan rationalism with decorative Art Deco elements.

The brand name was created by combining the Greek words "myron," meaning fragrant balm, and "ergon," meaning work or workplace. The first commercial product was the cologne 1916, named after the year the company was founded. In 2000, the Myrurgia perfumery was acquired by Puig.
