Xerjoff was formally founded by Sergio Momo and Dominique Salvo in Turin in 2007. In the same year, the brand launched its first collection, 17/17 Stone Label. In creating its fragrances, it combines traditional distillation methods with modern extraction technologies.

The design of Xerjoff's distinctive cap was created by Dominique Salvo, inspired by the Egyptian red Deshret crown. The brand's distinctive bottle shape was introduced in 2016.
