About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand name is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. From the very beginning, its intention was to reduce the unsustainable use of natural resources and to create recycled products with comparable quality and design to those made from non-recycled materials.

The first collection was developed after three years of research and development and was launched in 2012, along with the first flagship store in Madrid. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collects ocean waste and transforms it into yarns and fabrics.

Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp™ certification in 2018. In 2022, it was named among the B Corp "Best for the World" and ranked in the top 5% of companies in the environmental category. It completed its third B Corp™ certification in 2025 with a score of 122.7 points.
