About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who also serves as the brand's president. Its name and concept were inspired by the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The founding goal was to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to the finest products made from non-recycled materials.

The first collection and flagship store in the centre of Madrid were launched in 2012 after three years of research and development. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collects ocean waste and transforms it into yarns and textiles. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion brand to receive B Corporation certification. It also committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2030.
