About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand name is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The first collection was created after three years of research and development and was launched in 2012, together with the opening of the first brand store in Madrid.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project. Working in collaboration with the fishing industry, it collects marine waste and transforms it into yarns and textiles.

Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corporation certification in 2018. In 2022, B Corp ranked it among Best for the World, placing it in the top 5% of companies in the environmental category. At its third B Corp certification in 2025, the brand achieved a score of 122.7 points.
