About the brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who also serves as the brand's president. The name was created from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original vision was to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to those made from non-recycled materials.

In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. In 2022, it received the B Corp Best for the World recognition and ranked among the top 5% of companies in the environmental category. The Ecoalf Foundation was established in 2015 to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collects and processes ocean waste.
