About the brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand's name and concept were inspired by the birth of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original goal was to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to the best non-recycled items.

The first Ecoalf collection and the first flagship store in Madrid were launched in 2012 after three years of research and development. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collects marine waste and transforms it into yarns and textiles. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corporation certification.
