About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who also serves as the brand's president. The name was created from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The first collection and the brand's flagship store in Madrid followed in 2012, after three years of research and development.

The Ecoalf Foundation was established in 2015 to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, focused on collecting and processing marine waste. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. The brand also holds the Global Recycled Standard certification and in 2019 received PETA Vegan certification as well as the PETA Vegan Fashion Award.
