About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who serves as its founder and president. The name and concept of the brand were inspired by the birth of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The original vision was to reduce the unsustainable consumption of natural resources and to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to non-recycled goods.

The first Ecoalf collection and the first flagship store in Madrid were launched in 2012 after three years of research and development. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which collaborates with the fishing industry to collect marine waste and transform it into yarn and textiles.
