About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009. Its founder and president is Javier Goyeneche, who created the name from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. After three years of research and development, the brand launched its first collection in 2012 and opened its first flagship store in Madrid.

The Ecoalf Foundation was established in 2015 to support the Upcycling the Oceans project. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. In 2022, it received the Best for the World award within B Corp and ranked among the top 5% of highest-rated companies in the environmental category. It completed its third B Corp certification in 2025 with a score of 122.7 points.
