About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009, and the name was created by combining the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The brand launched its first collection in 2012 after three years of research and development; that same year, it opened its first store in Madrid.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which focuses on collecting marine waste and transforming it into raw materials, yarns, and textiles. Since March 2018, Ecoalf has been a certified B Corporation and also holds the Global Recycled Standard certification for its recycled materials. The company is headquartered in Madrid, Spain.

The brand combines clothing development with the use of recycled materials and concrete projects focused on marine waste.
