About the brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who serves as its president. Its name and concept were inspired by the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The first collection was created after three years of research and development and was launched in 2012 alongside the first flagship store in Madrid.

The Ecoalf Foundation was established in 2015 to support the Upcycling the Oceans project. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification. The brand also holds the Global Recycled Standard certification and has been PETA Vegan certified since 2019.

The Prinalf model thus comes from a brand associated with B Corp, GRS and PETA Vegan certifications.
