About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. After three years of research and development, the brand launched its first collection in 2012 and opened its first flagship store in Madrid. The headquarters of Ecoalf Recycled Fabrics, SL is located in Madrid, Spain.

In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project. This project converts sorted plastic waste into flakes and pellets that can be used as a new raw material. Recycled PET from ocean waste can also be processed within the project into polyester yarn for the textile industry.

Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification in March 2018. During its recertification in 2025, it achieved a B Impact Score of 122.7 points.

Ecoalf combines material development, product lifecycle assessment and specific projects focused on finding new uses for sorted waste.
