The inspiration was the Renaissance military commander Giovanni Dalle Bande Nere of the Medici family. The composition is meant to evoke a military camp, wild shrubs, campfire smoke and leather horse equipment.

The composition offers a transition from wormwood, cumin and honey through a floral heart to a woody, mossy and leathery base.

About the Brand

Francesca Bianchi personally designs and formulates her fragrances in her own laboratory. The finished fragrance formula is manufactured by a family company in Grasse, France, while maceration, filtration, filling and packaging take place in Milan. She created her own fragrance line in Amsterdam, where she also lives. The brand supports the Code of Ethics for Perfumery championed by perfumer Christophe Laudamiel.

The fragrance is the result of Francesca Bianchi's personal creation, with the formula manufactured in Grasse and the product completed in Milan.
