Fragrance and Composition

Vol de Nuit is an Eau de Toilette from Guerlain's historic fragrance collection Les Légendaires, also known as the Patrimoine Collection. The original fragrance was launched in 1933 and its composition was created by Jacques Guerlain. The name references the novel Vol de nuit by writer and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

• Top notes: bergamot, galbanum and petitgrain
• Heart notes: jasmine, narcissus, violet, carnation and rose
• Base notes: spices, woody notes, iris, vanilla and amber
• Intensity: high

The green and resinous character of galbanum is complemented by bergamot and narcissus absolute. The spicy element is formed by warm black pepper together with the cooler-feeling cardamom and pink pepper. Patchouli absolute adds a woody and earthy tone.

The European formula 07704 is based on alcohol, water and a perfume composition. It contains, among other things, linalool, limonene, coumarin and Evernia furfuracea extract.

Application

• For a more pronounced fragrance trail, spray the fragrance on the neck and pulse points.
• For a lighter application, disperse it into the air and walk through the resulting cloud.

About the Brand

Guerlain was founded by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain in 1828 with the opening of the first store on rue de Rivoli in Paris. Since then, five generations of perfumers have contributed to its creation, crafting more than 1,100 fragrance compositions.

Vol de Nuit thus continues the work of five generations of perfumers from the house of Guerlain.
