Matiere Premiere Falcon Leather eau de parfum unisex is built around a distinctive leather character inspired by falconers' gloves. The oriental, spicy composition with smoky, resinous and woody accords is designed for women and men who seek a fragrance with both full-grain and soft suede facets.

Fragrance and composition

The central raw material is birch tar essence from Finland, which creates a vegetal leather tone. Saffron amplifies this character from the very opening. Labdanum from Andalusia emphasises the smooth, full-grain aspect of the leather accord, while benzoin absolute develops its softer suede side.

About the brand

Aurélien Guichard is the founder and perfumer of Matiere Premiere. He comes from a family of perfumers who have been working in Grasse for seven generations. The brand's creative principle lies in using a single central natural raw material in a high dosage and revealing its various olfactory facets.

In 2016, Aurélien Guichard founded an Ecocert-certified organic farm in Grasse. Covering more than six hectares, it cultivates roses, tuberoses and lavandin.
