About the Brand

Madame Grès opened her own fashion house in 1932 and in 1942 renamed her atelier Grès. She was known for working with silk jersey and cutting fabric directly on the model's body without a paper pattern.

The fragrance history of the Gres brand began in 1959 with the launch of Cabochard. The fashion house subsequently expanded its perfumery activities with the Cabochard and Cabotine brand lines. The original Cabotine collection, which also includes Cabotine Turquoise, was launched in 1990.
