About the brand

Behind the Pino Silvestre brand stands the Venetian company Mavive, founded by Massimo Vidal in 1986. Its name was created as an acronym of the words Massimo Vidal Venezia, and the company is today managed by the third and fourth generation of the Vidal family.

The family's roots in the personal care industry date back to the early 20th century. Angelo Vidal founded Vidal Profumi in 1900, focusing on the production and trade of soaps, spices and imported colonial goods. The original Colonia Pino Silvestre was launched in 1950, with its trademark having been registered as early as the 1930s. It was with the Pino Silvestre brand that Massimo Vidal began Mavive's operations.

Since June 2018, Mavive has held ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certification for the development, production and distribution of perfumery and cosmetics.

Pino Silvestre thus continues the legacy of the Vidal family and a brand whose original cologne was created in the mid-20th century.
