The inspiration came from Madame Grès's endeavour to create a perfect dress from a single piece of fabric. Anne-Louise Gautier was inspired to create the composition during a visit to an exhibition dedicated to Madame Grès at the Musée Bourdelle in Paris.

Application

• A few sprays into the hair, behind the ears or into the crook of the elbow are recommended.
• The fragrance can also be applied to the body, neck, décolletage, arms or the inner side of clothing.
• The liquid and its vapours are highly flammable.

About the Brand

Madame Grès opened her own fashion house in 1932 and in 1942 renamed her atelier Grès. Her work was characterised by the pleating of silk jersey and cutting fabric directly on the model without paper patterns; some dresses contained up to 300 pleats.

She also expanded the fashion house's activities into perfumery, where the fragrances Cabochard and Cabotine were created. Madame Grès was awarded the Légion d'honneur, first as a Chevalier and later as an Officier. She also served as President of the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne.

Pièce Unique draws its inspiration from the fashion work of Madame Grès and her use of a single piece of fabric.
