About the Brand

The Proraso brand was founded in 1948 in the laboratories of Ludovico Martelli. This company was established by Ludovico of the Martelli family in Florence as early as 1908. Today it is run by the fourth generation of the family and focuses on specialised shaving and beard care products.

The soap is manufactured in Italy using a hot process saponification method in small batches. It then matures for 10 to 15 days in a climate-controlled room to achieve the desired moisture, texture and fragrance.
