About the Brand

The Piz Buin brand was inspired by Franz Greiter, who suffered sunburn in 1938 while climbing the Piz Buin mountain. The first Piz Buin Glacier Cream sunscreen product was launched in 1946. Franz Greiter built the brand together with his wife Marga, a skincare expert, and by 1962 Piz Buin was among the first brands to use the SPF system.
