About the Brand

COFCI was founded in Paris in 1976 under the leadership of Jean-Pierre Grivory and in 1982 obtained a worldwide licence for Salvador Dalí fragrances. The first fragrance was released as a limited edition in 1983 as a tribute to Dalí's wife and muse Gala. The international launch of the fragrance brand followed in 1985.

Salvador Dalí was involved in the first fragrances and designed the distinctive bottles featuring a lip motif. The shape of the original bottle was inspired by the lips and nose in his work Apparition of the Aphrodite of Knidos. Cofinluxe was the official licence holder for Salvador Dalí fragrances.
