Xerjoff Oud Stars Zafar unisex perfume offers a woody-floral profile built, among other things, on Laotian and Burmese oud. It is designed for both women and men, and the manufacturer states that the fragrance has long-lasting staying power on the skin.

Scent and Composition

The opening is dominated by black pepper, which intertwines with incense and two types of oud. Individual layers also feature rose, white flowers, Moroccan neroli, woody elements, vetiver and musk.

The Laotian oud used in the composition was aged for 15 years. The development of the fragrance and sourcing of materials took three years.

The declared composition is based on Alcohol Denat., Parfum and Aqua. Among the listed oils or extracts are Atlas cedar, jasmine, bergamot, lemon, clove and patchouli. The composition also includes citral, coumarin, eugenol, limonene, linalool, linalyl acetate, pinene and beta-caryophyllene.

The result is a layered composition in which floral tones meet pepper, incense, woods and two types of oud.

About the Brand

The Xerjoff brand was formally founded in 2007 in Turin, Italy. It was created by Sergio Momo and Dominique Salvo. The brand introduced its first collection, 17/17 Stone Label, in 2007, followed by the Shooting Stars collection in 2009.

Dominique Salvo designed the distinctive cap of Xerjoff flacons based on the Egyptian red crown Deshret, finding inspiration at the Egyptian Museum in Turin.
