Xerjoff Blends Duran Duran Black Moonlight is a unisex parfum that bridges citrus and spicy notes with a floral heart and a resinous base. It is designed for women and men seeking a woody and oriental fragrance profile with a darker, more mysterious character. It was created as a creative collaboration between Xerjoff and the British band Duran Duran, inspired by the interplay of light and shadow in their work.

Scent and Composition

Black Moonlight is part of the Xerjoff Blends collection and was launched in 2025. It is a parfum built around a three-layer olfactory structure:

• Top notes: bergamot, cardamom, mandarin and saffron
• Heart notes: lavender, myrrh, jasmine sambac absolute and ylang-ylang
• Base notes: labdanum, patchouli, tonka bean and tolu balsam

The published INCI lists denatured alcohol, fragrance composition and water among the first ingredients. The composition further includes Pogostemon cablin patchouli oil, Citrus aurantium bergamia bergamot bark oil, and ylang-ylang and lavender oil or extract.

The result is a layered unisex composition that unites fresh, spicy, floral and balsamic elements.

About the Brand

Xerjoff was founded by Sergio Momo and Dominique Salvo in Turin in 2007. That same year, the brand introduced its first collection, 17/17 Stone Label, followed in 2009 by the Shooting Stars collection.

Xerjoff combines traditional distillation methods with modern extraction technologies. The brand's distinctive bottle cap draws inspiration from the ancient Egyptian red crown of Deshret.
