About the Brand

Serge Lutens was born in 1942 in Lille, France. In 1968, he joined Christian Dior as artistic director of decorative cosmetics development, and in 1980 he began his collaboration with Shiseido.

In 2000, with the support of the Shiseido group, he created his own brand Parfums Beauté Serge Lutens, which was later renamed Serge Lutens. Shiseido announced the purchase of the Serge Lutens trademark on 22 December 2015, along with the announcement that Serge Lutens would continue to guide the artistic spirit and style of the brand.

The brand's story thus directly connects Serge Lutens's creative work with his collaboration with Shiseido.
