About the brand

The Repetto brand was founded in 1947, when Rose Repetto created the first ballet shoes inspired by the needs of her son Roland Petit. The first ballet shoes were made in a Parisian workshop near the opera house.

The first Repetto boutique was opened in 1959 at 22 Rue de la Paix in Paris. Since 2008, the brand has held the French state designation Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, which recognises exceptional artisan know-how. The brand launched its first fragrance in 2013.
