About the Brand

Calandre was the first fragrance from the fashion house Rabanne. Its first show took place on 1 February 1966 at the Hotel George V in Paris. The debut spring–summer collection featured rhodoid slats and discs linked by metal rings, creating the brand's distinctive method of assembling garments.

The brand later simplified the name Paco Rabanne to Rabanne. The new typography was inspired by the archival appearance of the Calandre fragrance.

Calandre thus connects the beginnings of the fashion house's perfume creation with its visual identity.
