About the Brand

Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle was founded by Frédéric Malle in 2000. He gained experience in fragrance creation at Roure, which is today part of Givaudan.

The house was among the first to publicly present perfumers as authors and to feature their names on the bottles. Perfumers are given creative freedom, ample time and the opportunity to work with selected raw materials without the usual constraints. The minimalist flacons are designed to highlight the fragrance itself and its creator, while the graphic concept of the packaging draws inspiration from Gallimard publishing house books.

Ralf Schwieger was selected for Editions de Parfums after his proposal for what would become Lipstick Rose caught Frédéric Malle's attention during a blind evaluation.

Thanks to this approach, both the composition itself and its specific author take centre stage at Lipstick Rose.
