About the brand

Ecoalf was founded by Javier Goyeneche in 2009. The brand's name and concept were inspired by the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. After three years of research and development, the brand launched its first collection in 2012 and simultaneously opened its first flagship store in Madrid.

The Ecoalf Foundation was established in 2015 to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which works with the fishing industry to collect marine waste and transform it into yarn and textiles.
