About the Brand

Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who also serves as the brand's president. Its name is derived from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The founding vision was to create recycled products with quality and design comparable to premium products made from non-recycled materials.

The first collection and the first flagship store in Madrid were launched in 2012 after three years of research and development. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which, with the help of the fishing industry, collects marine waste and transforms it into yarn and textiles. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion brand to be certified as a B Corporation.

Ecoalf has built its history on the development of recycled products and has been a certified B Corporation since 2018.
