About the Brand
Ecoalf was founded in 2009 by Javier Goyeneche, who serves as its president. The name was created from the names of his sons Alfred and Álvaro. The founding vision was to reduce the unsustainable consumption of natural resources and to create recycled products comparable in quality and design to non-recycled ones.
The first collection and flagship store in Madrid were launched in 2012 after three years of research and development. In 2015, the Ecoalf Foundation was established to support the Upcycling the Oceans project, which works with the fishing industry to collect marine waste and transform it into yarns and fabrics. In 2018, Ecoalf became the first Spanish fashion company to receive B Corp certification.
By choosing this model, you are getting a product from a brand that has been developing the use of recycled materials since its founding.
